Update time!

Apologies girlies. I have had the busiest week! First off, I went to see Daniel Merriweather last week. He is so beautiful! And such a good singer... amazing gig! :D

Then it was a friends 21st which was also such a good night. And im back at uni today with an absolute tonne of work! Its my best friends 21st this weekend, i bought her a white gold diamond ring so I am pretty poor! And I need to buy a new outfit and another friends birthday present. October is exteremely Going shopping tomorrow for my glad rags so I shall show when I come back!

Oh my. Im addicted. I wish everyone would stop hating on John and Edward! I seen them at Glasgow and I commented on them and was on TV.. my claim to fame! I know they are absolutly terrible but I like winding people up about them. I loveee Stacey Soloman she has such a lovely voice and such a nice personality. And I love little Lloyd, how adorable! Who do you all like?
Brown eyeliner
Recently Iv diched the black and went for brown for autumn. It's so much softer and really makes my eyes pop! I'm using UD bourbon 24/7 eyeliner...

Polished, unbitten nails!
Iv not bit my nails in like 2 weeks and they are quite long. I currently have on OPI done out in deco, gorgeous colour! This is such a big achievement for me as Im used to little stumps or acrylics

Haloween
I cannot wait! I bought fake blood the other day as I want to go as a zombie bride! Have you all got ideas?

My 21st birthday memories...

Hi girlies! Hope you all had a gorgeous weekend. Mine was quiet as I was out on thursday night.. jagerbombs cannot be good for the body!! I was babysitting my cousins little girl yesterday and was exhausted come night time! 2 year olds are a handful.. I got to play with barbies and colour in though which was fun :D I just wanted to share some pictures on my 21st birthday party that I had on the 1st of August. I had the most amazing night and loved everything about it. Everyone I loved under the one roof - you can't get anything better. It was quite emotional aswel because my Dad did not get to see me turn 21 but I know h e would have been proud! This was the invite.. AH! Wel I had 3 different baby pictures of me on the invites.. here is one.. and I was only 3 here with a mound of crimped hair.. not a good look!

Here is my dress...

I got it from Coast. I'm not sure if they stil do it but it was £110. I tried on like 20 dresses before I found this one and I really loved it on. I got my shoes from debenhams they were only like £30 and matched perfectly! I was debating to buy shoes from Dune for £100 so I'm so glad I found them! I got my little bag from Quiz can you believe! Its the only thing I own from there and it was exactly what I wanted. I got my jewlerry from debenhams aswel.

I went for dramatic eyes and a nude lip. I used Mac Knight and Rondelle eyeshadow from the royal assets palett for the silver look. I then used carbon and urban decay oil slick in the crease. I used ud zero eyeliner and mac number 7 eyelashes. I used Mac Myth lipstick and Nars turkish delight to create the nudey-pink lip! And I used Rimmel coral blush and mac well dressed. I was really happy with my overall look :D

Here is my beautiful pink cake! I had no idea what my cake would be like so I was really so happy when I seen this. It's just so.. me! :D

There were also lots of pink feather boa's, sunglasses and cowboy hats on all of the tables, everyone loved them and it was a really nice touch! :D Thats my aunt and cousin loving the accessories!


This was me opening my presents.. as you can see my feet hurt so I got the primark pumps on! It was a must!


Well that was my 21st, I had so much fun. If anyone else has any special nights they would like to share, consider this a tag!

I went Shopping! Lush, ysl, topshop, new look, china glaze haul!

Hope everyone is having a good week so far! I went shopping yesterday with my friend Stephanie...we went out at 1pm and did not return until 8!! hehe was fun. So here is all I got... first off - Lush! :D

I got the Freshers pack...

This is so amazing. You get 8 products for £10! The girl said its supposed to be exclusive to freshers but she was just giving it to anyone! First off, you got a full size fresh face mask. I picked cupcake because I hadn't tried it before. She suggested a crashcourse in skincare as its good for dry skin but I wanted cupcake because it smelled so yummmmy. It's seriously like the sweetest chocolate smell..And as you can see, it looks like chocolate too! I used this tonight and I love love love it. It smells so sweet so if you don't like sweet things then you won't like cupcake. It has cocoa butter in it to soften and lots of essential oils. My skin is actually glowing!
It also came with any 2 soaps of your choice. I choose Vanilla in the mist soap because I love the rest of the new vanilla products. I've not tried this but I read it has coffee in it and you can smell it slightly and Im not a big coffee fan. But I'll see how this goes in the shower..

I also bought porridge because I love it. If you've not used it before I definately recommend it. It smells so fresh and clean. It has molases and oats and they really exfoliate your skin and the soap lathers really well. A winner! I also got the sugar scrub. I love exfoliating products because I wear fake tan alot and need to scrub it off and it is very stubborn! I've not tried this but I have heard great reviews. It's supposed to help circulation and therefore help cellulite.
You also get 2 toner tabs, which I havn't used yet and the shampoo bar of your choice, I picked ultimate shine and I love this. My hair is so amazingly shiney and I can't stop smelling it. It smells kind of herbal? Im not sure but I just love it. And its such good value as it lasts for 80 washes! Recommended :D You also got a sample of the moisturiser of your choice, I've tried most and my favourite is skin drink as my skins very dry so I got this! So thats what you get.. all for £10! Crazy! Get it while you can girls and let me know what you all get and what you think..I also bought a new Buffy. This is a very rough exfoliator supposed to be for your bum and thighs etc to get rid of cellulite. I have a few stretchmarks on my legs and this has cocoa butter in it to help them. Love Love again! :D
I also bought a chunk of my favourite rockstar, a butterball and a big blue ballistic which I halved. 3 favourite products of mine. So thats my lush haul, if anyone has any questions on any of the mentioned products please feel free to ask away :)

So then I went to Boots and purchased a new YSL Rouge Volupte from the new nudes collection.. I got number 26 which is tender peach..



Ah how beautiful is the packaging!? These lipsticks seriously are so amazing. So creamy, so pigmented, so smooth, so moisturising... I just simply adore this. The colour is a gorgeous nudey pinky peach and is just what I've been looking for for teaming with smokey eyes. I have so many pink lipsticks and I wanted lingerie pink but decided against it as I have saint germain and I think thats similar. At £20 they are not cheap but I wanted to treat myself :D Here are swatches.. I'll get a pic soon of it on if anyone is interested..

also picked up a china glaze nailpolish in fith avenue

Im a big OPI fan and only have a few china glaze shades but I really liked this colour. Its really pretty and girlie.. nothing unusual there for me then! I can do my own acrylics and usually have them on but I go through nail polish phases. I can't help it when I see pink.. hehe. I think it's nice for autumn as its not too bubblegum pink and more of a dusty rose colour.. I tried it out on my thumb.. but Im keeping my dark red/mahoganny NYX nail polish on for now because I've had alot of compliments on it.

I then went to topshop and got the nicest top to go with my eiffel tower necklace! And also some stud earrings...
Im teaming the top with black leggins and my new beautiful boots from new look! Only £25 and I think they are amazing...

Ahhhhhh swoon. I can't wait to wear this outfit out teamed with big hair and red lips !

So Eliza posted a blog with an adorable picture from her life and I think this is such an amazing idea. It's so interesting and nice to see a little peak into other people's lives and see their pretty pictures. I've picked a few pictures to share with you all as they are very special to me...
This is a picture of my mum and I before my 21st birthday party. My mum means so much 2 me as I am an only child and my Dad passed away when I was 16. Although we are still very much devestated by this it made us closer and we have a solid relationship. We are both very strong and I am proud of us for making it through. love my mummy lots! :D

This picture makes me smile because its in my livingroom above the fireplace and its very big. I used to think my eyes followed you when i was young and I was creeped out by it - its my own photo! Everyone always comments it when they first visit my house. The best part is the red nail varnish - I went to my cousins the night before and she did my nails without my mum knowing and we had no remover! 3 years old and already a makeup junkie!
Last year I worked in Hewlett Packard as my placement from my university course. It was the best year ever and I met so many amazing friends. This photo makes me smile as it reminds me of the good times we had!

Mac Lipsticks for first time buyers.. are they worth it?

Hey hotties,

So the gorgeous Eliza (here is the link to her blog, check her out!) asked me to do a review on Mac Lipsticks. What makes them so popular? Why should you bother paying £12 for a single lipstick when you can get a rimmel for £4.99? Here is my opinion on the comparison between Mac and cheaper brand lippies, especially if you have never tried one before..

Here are my pros on the mac lipsticks...

PROS

The mac lipsticks come in a variety of textures. Depending on the look your going for you can choose the finish. Here is a breakdown of the textures from the mac website...

AMPLIFIED CRÈME
Ultra-creamy. Quietly shiny. Colour-packed! Hi-res: hi-impact.

FROSTE
xcellent colour payoff with medium to high frosted shimmer-and-shine finish.

GLAZE
Low-colour impact with sheen-style finish. Glazes the lips, makes them shine!

LIP TREATMENT
Colour-free. Texture-free. Provides natural healthy-looking lips.

LUSTRE
Demi-sheer with wet-look lustre finish. Very slick. Makes lips look soft, smooth, ultra-moist.

MATTE
Pigment rich with intense colour pay-off. No-shine, all matte finish.

SATIN
Colour-rich. Soft satin, semi-matte finish. Conditions while adding intense colour.

SHEER
Colour-light with sheer, near-translucent, naturally-tinted finish.

So, for instance, if you were wanting to have a strong, pigmented lip you could go for an amplified creme and if you are wanting a shiney understated lip you could go for a glaze. This is something that is unique to mac and it means you can have a variety of finishes for different occassions.

In addition to texture, mac also has the biggest variety of colours. I wanted a specific colour for my 21st birthday and I got exactly what I wanted. If you have a really unique colour in your head to go with an outfit for example, 99/100 mac has something exactly what you are looking for. Brands such as Rimmel only have a few shades whereas there are hundreds from mac and there are new shades in every collection.

I think the lipsticks generally have amazing staying power. I usually go for the amplified texture because they are so creamy and pigmented and therefore stay on for a while. This particular texture also glides on and is so smooth and feels almost conditioning. The vanilla smell of these is also one of my favourite things about mac lippies - it lasts for ages and is unique to the brand.

The packaging is very classic and I always enjoy getting my lipstick out at any opportunity because its instantly recognisable as MAC.
CONS

Of course, the biggest con to most people will be the price. However, all MAC products are expensive due to the quality of product you are getting. If you are on a budget there are so many other brands for less than half the price, such as barry m. I purchase alot of drug store lipsticks that do have the same great qualities as mac only you don't have as much variety and I think they aren't as long lasting. I only buy a mac lipstick now and again its not something I buy every week. I think they are excellent for a treat and for a special night out or ocassion.

To be honest, I can't think of many other cons for the mac lippies. They really are worth the money for the formulation, colour, texutre and overall look these lipsticks give. I think anyone who hasn't tried a mac lipstick should get one as I'm sure they will love it. If you don't buy drugstore for a few weeks then use that money to get your new mac lipstick. It's worth the excitment of picking the colour alone! I hope this helps anyone who is indecisive on "to buy or not to buy" and please let me know if anyone gets a new lippie and what they think!

Hi lovlies...

Hope you are all having a good weekend! I am a little fragile right now as I was out last night.. it's all worth it though! We get to dress up! I just wanted to share my gorgeous new black heels I bought yesterday from Office...





Eeeek! I love them. Im 5'0.. extremely small so the higher the better for me! They are really (surprisingly) comfortable I think it's because there is a platform. They were £75 but had £20 off! Bargin! :D





My mum also bought me (ahh how cute, 21 going on 13!) two adorable necklaces from accesorize... One is gold with LOVE in sparkles and one is of the eiffel tower and a cute bow and it says j'taime on it. Cute!






Here is my eye makeup look last night... I used the trusty Allthatglitters and Sable combo... I am such a big fan of this as its smokey but not too over the top and dramatic. I used urban decay bourbon eyeliner which is a nice dark brown and used rimmel sexy curves mascara.




As I had the smokey but not too dramatic eyes, I went for mac snob with nars turkish delight lipgloss over for quite a dramatic dusty pink lip. My outfit was a light pink/cream colour so I liked how this matched. I used rimmel blush in ambre rose (i think!) with a little of bobbi brown dessert rose over it. I loosely curled my hair with the GHD's.
